Jake Muller
Jake Muller is a pivotal character introduced in Resident Evil 6 (2012). He is the son of Albert Wesker, one of the franchise’s most notorious villains, but unlike his father, Jake is not inherently evil. His unique blood holds the key to stopping the deadly C-virus, making him a central figure in the game’s global bioterrorism crisis.
Background & Story Role
- First Appearance: Resident Evil 6 (2012)
- Nationality: American
- Occupation: Mercenary
- Affiliation: Initially a freelance soldier, later works with the BSAA (loosely)
Initially introduced as a selfish, cynical mercenary in war-torn Edonia, Jake is revealed to be the biological son of Albert Wesker, though he never knew his father.
Unlike Wesker, Jake doesn’t seek world domination. He’s more concerned with survival and making money, initially asking for $50 million in exchange for his blood, which contains antibodies capable of curing the C-virus.
He is paired with Sherry Birkin, who tries to convince him to help stop the global crisis. Over time, he softens and develops a friendship (possibly romantic feelings) for Sherry, ultimately choosing to help the BSAA and humanity.
He spends most of the game on the run from Neo-Umbrella, being hunted by the Ustanak, a terrifying B.O.W. specifically designed to capture him.
By the end of Resident Evil 6, Jake has changed, rejecting his father’s legacy and choosing to fight for a better cause.
